What stays on your device. Your check-ins, journal, worries, Proof, photos, Brave Moments, Companion conversations, profile, calendar events and settings are stored only on your device. We cannot see them. They leave your device only when you send them to an AI feature, share an export, or your device is backed up under your device's backup settings.

The app asks for device permissions only for features you choose: your calendar (read only), photos, the microphone (speech is turned into text on your device and is not uploaded or saved), notifications, and your device's face or fingerprint unlock or passcode for app lock. You can change these in your device settings at any time.

The app stores information on your device that it needs to work, such as keeping you signed in. It does not use device storage for advertising or tracking.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising. No other party collects information about your activity across other apps or websites through HerSpace.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or obtain a portable copy of your personal information.

Right to object. You can object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interests.

Withdrawing consent. You can withdraw your wellbeing consent or AI permission at any time in the app under Me → Privacy, or by emailing us. This does not affect processing before you withdrew.

Deleting your account. You can delete your account and data in the app under Me → Account → Delete my account and data. This deletes your account from our servers and your HerSpace data on that device. You can also export your journal and Proof as text files before deleting.

What deletion doesn't reach. Deleting your account does not remove HerSpace data on any other device you have used, or copies in your device backups, which your backup settings control. The app store, our subscription provider, our analytics provider and our AI provider keep their own records for the periods above. Email us and we will help you ask them to delete what they hold.

Your subscription. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it in your App Store subscription settings to stop it renewing.

To exercise any right, email privacy@higherdetail.com. We will respond within one month.

US state privacy rights

Depending on the state you live in, you may have the right to confirm whether we process your personal information and access it, correct it, delete it, and obtain a copy of it. The personal information we process includes sensitive information about your mental or emotional health, as described above. We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or use it for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

To make a request, email privacy@higherdetail.com from the email address linked to your account. We will respond within 45 days.

Appeals. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision or emailing privacy@higherdetail.com with "Appeal" in the subject line. We will tell you the outcome in writing, with our reasons, within 60 days. If we deny your appeal, you can complain to your state attorney general.

See also our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
